- Items with level 7 spells are appearing - Dalli found a bow with 3 level 7 spells on it off a viamontian lord.
- Looks like the viamontians have taken over Marae Lassel.

I can confirm that cantrips are appearing on jewelry and clothing, as well, as are salvage spells. I found a necklace with minor salvaging and another with salvage VII on it. The arcane lore requirements appear to be consistent with casting difficulty for the respective skills (300-330ish lore for level VII equipment). Also, green garnet is the salvage item for elemental enhancement of wands.
Another confirmation that crowns and gloves have been improved. I found quite a few new crowns (coronets, diadems, tiaras) on eaters with AL in the 200+ range. The pyreal value of every crown I've found has been very high. I haven't come across any crown or hat (including berets and fezzes) that was below 10k pyreals since the patch, though I was primarily in the Abhorrent Vault during what little time I had available.

The quest to obtain access to the new island is a long, complicated, and arduous one. Bae was in one of the first groups, running around the landscape, finding clues and new NPCs/dungeons. Quite a few questers have gotten hung up on the need for a Sezzherei's Lair gem, and a group is needed in the watchers' dungeons, so she hasn't finished the quest yet (hopefully tonight). I'll post my thoughts on the quest once it's done.
I also found minor salvaging, on a bracelet. It's nice to see some headgear alternatives, but almost all of my girls have majors on their helms, so it'll be a while before they're willing to switch over.
Hopefully I can explore a bit more tonight. I spent almost 8 hours on the island quest yesterday, so didn't have a chance to check out the "new" Egg Orchard, or check out the lower-level quests.

After much running around Wednesday, here's what Bae has been able to personally learn about the new island quest (130+):
The Watcher of the Deep is located at 70.3N 65.4. When you talk to him, he tells you you must appease the watchers before you can be granted access to the island.
A new Lugian NPC in Ayan, Shuthoth, gave us the next part of the quest. There are apparently two other ways to start, by talking to the leaders of the faction quests, but I haven't done either of those. By using Shuthoth, you will be flagged as helping Nuhmudira, so you might want to choose which NPC you use to begin the quest ... it doesn't make any difference how the quest progresses. The NPC will give you a token that is inscribed with instructions to place into the empty eye socket of a Watcher on Aerlinthe.
There are two Watcher statues, one at 87.3N 51.2E and one at 87.4N 41.6E. Giving the token to the Watcher portals you inside the first dungeon. This is a large dungeon, full of high-level spirits and skellies. The last room is a flood room, with high level mummies added to the mix -- this is where almost all of our fellow died first time through. You'll take a portal at the end of the flood room, which takes you to a hillside high above the Southern Landbridge with four crystals.
You need to talk to Shemza, who tells you the next part of the quest. She tasks you with gathering three shards ... radiant, dazzling, and brilliant, to give to the other crystals. She then asks you to bring her a boon ... a "golden token" from the "masters of the portal." Finally, she tells you that she has changed your body so that you can use the portal near Ayan.
(The portal is located in the water at 60.3S 90.7W, due west from Ayan. It will take you back to the crystals, since you have to return several times. I believe you can also use portal recall.)
Give Shemza a yellow Virindi crystal, and she'll portal you into the second dungeon. Work through that dungeon until you reach the Radiant Crystal, which will drop a radiant shard on death. Take the portal back to the crystals.
Give the shard to Lurza, who asks you for a "key" to a traitor who lives among the winged demons of the dark. The "key" is the Sezzherei's Lair gem -- the hardest part of this quest to finish, since the gem is no-give, and it can be gotten only from Fallen creatures in VoD and Caul.
Once you have the gem, give it to Lurza and get portalled into another dungeon. This one has diseased phyntos wasps and a few elementals ... and a nasty acid room that will cause damage while you're running through it. You have to reach a large room with a raised grate, and jump up on the grate to escape the acid. Bae bounced off wasps, elementals and the grate many times before she finally made the jump. Kill the Dazzling Crystal, loot a shard, and take the portal.
Give the dazzling shard to Dmesne, who then asks for a bar of great strength and power. Give him a pyreal bar to be portaled into the next dungeon.
The third dungeon is pretty easy, another acid area but you don't have to go through it, you can run around. Kill the Brilliant Crystal at the end, get the shard and give it to Rhujun.
Rhujun will ask for a stone ... give him a swamp stone to be portaled to the next part of the quest, which involves killing five each of three different types of golems. (Bae hasn't done this part yet, so I can't give you details, but will provide them ASAP)
Each of the crystal dungeons has a BMK reliquary, no key required, on a seven-day timer. There's a 24-hour timer on picking up shards. You can get back into any of the dungeons by double-clicking on the crystal.
The first folks to finish the quest got 190 million XP -- don't know if that will continue, or if it was a one-time thing.

The post-gatekeeper part of the new island quest is much easier than what came before -- or at least Bae found it so. After you give the swamp stone to the last gatekeeper, you're portalled to an island with an NPC who tasks you to kill five golems on the island. Once you've done that, you return to the NPC, who portals you to a dungeon that is an exact copy of the Abandoned Mine (Subway) near Arwic. The creatures in the bottom of the dungeon are higher in level, however, and you must kill a named monster, who spawns a portal. Take that portal to another island, with another NPC, who tasks you with killing five more golems.
All done, and you're told to speak to the Watcher of the Deep at 70.3N 65.4E. The watcher grants you access to the island and awards you 190 million XP. You can then use the portal near the Watcher to access Vissidal Island.
The island contains new varieties of moarsmen, sharks, and niffis, and a completely new creature called the Remoran. All except the sharks are powerful magic casters, and the fire attack of the moarsmen ignores all armor, so it's disturbingly easy to be one- or two-shot, and even the highest-level players have been leaving corpses on the island fairly frequently.
At 77.8N 67.1E is The Deep, a misty being who accepts golden body parts from various creatures on the island, and four NPCs, who award hunting quests.
The Branwyn's Tears quest, which awards a ring with Major Healing and Major Flame Award as well as the dye for Blackmire armor, is also located on the island.
