A "vixen, full of life and passion"? Many thanks, Alyssum, that has to be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me! I've lived so much of my life in the shadow of Baebarri that I feared my personality was becoming as pale and washed-out as my gray armor -- which would be a shame, since I've always been more talented, prettier, and more powerful than my stick-swinging big sister. But as long as she was in Rain Clan, everyone saw only her -- the clan's "first staff," a walking, talking, oxymoron as an Aluvian staffer. The clan's living encyclopedia, quest leader, always willing to share her possessions as well as her time ... almost a saint, from the tales I've heard. I, and my other sisters and cousins, were largely ignored.
Well, Bae showed her true colors finally, betraying Rain Clan to encourage Ithuriel in his silly little mid-life crisis. Yes, she still comes charging in for the high-level stuff, deigning to lend her skills to adventures that I can not yet handle on my own. But not for long; give me a couple of months, and I'll make you all forget about her completely. I'm already as powerful a warrior as her; my trusty axe can slice through monsters like a finely honed knife through softened butter, and I have more useful skills in weapon and item tinkering than she could ever hope for.
And who knows, with Bae out of the picture, perhaps Trale will finally notice me as something more than her little sister. "Little Sis" is all grown up, my handsome archer, and looking for more grown-up entertainment than skipping rocks across the mansion patio
